Mynydd Llandegai vs Conwy Borough FC
Conwy Borough made the trip to a very windy Mynydd Llandegai and came away with three points in a 4-1 victory.
Conwy Borough started where they left off last week with the ball in the back of the net within the first two minutes of the game by Tommy Creamer but was ruled out for offside. Conwy did not let up however and they were rewarded with a goal on the 4th minute by a cool finish from Tommy Creamer to get himself off the mark for this season. Llandegai were limited to two long range shots before Corrig McGonnigle doubled the lead for Conwy in the 29th minute with a sliding finish as the ball was fizzed into the box low and hard. Corrig then had the ball in the back of the net again this time from a freekick or so everyone thought. The ball hit the stanchion at the back of the goal bouncing the ball back out, however both the linesman and referee both didn’t see it cross the line after a long deliberation they awarded Llandegai with a goal kick. Conwy finally got their third goal just before half time when Corrig got onto the end of Matty Hughes knockdown from a corner.
Llandegai started the second half brightly as they pinned Conwy back and created a few chances. However, it was Conwy who got the fourth goal of the day on the 66th minute with a diving header from Matty Hughes. Llandegai were able get themselves on the scoresheet straight after the kickoff with a tap-in by Alwyn Roberts after the initially save was made by Ceirion Hall. After the goal Llandegai continued to pressure as they hit the crossbar on the 73th minute. Conwy were able to settle the game down and see the game out.
