The home side started brightly on a heavy surface and got the opening goal on 4 minutes when Corrig McGonigle got in behind the Albion defence and was fouled for a penalty. He stepped up to take the spot-kick himself and fired home to give Borough the lead. Borough were relentless in pushing forward and created half chances for Cory Williams and Tommy Creamer which where dealt with by the Grange keeper Gareth Nott. The 2nd goal come on 11 minutes when Tommy Creamer was brought down in the box for another penalty which Corrig fired home. The next goal arrived on 14 minutes when Cory Williams played in Corrig who twisted and turned his marker before completing his hat trick with a good finish. Borough were dominant as the visitors struggled to get any ball in the home team's half. The 4th goal arrived on 30 minutes when an Anthony Williams corner was turned home by Matty Hughes with a neat finish from close range. On 37 minutes an outstanding run by Cory Williams saw him get into the box before sliding a pass to Tommy Creamer to make it 5. As half time approached a Corrig McGonigle cross was headed home by captain Iolo Hughes to make it 6 and leave the visitors looking deflated.
The 2nd half started and credit to Grange who came out and pinned Conwy back in their own half for the opening 15 minutes, they pulled a goal back on 51 minutes when a defensive header only went as far as Nathan White who smashed the ball home from 20 yards. On 57 minutes Christian Churcher tried his luck from 25 yards but his shot hit the bar and the ball bounced to safety. After this Borough regained their composure and started getting more of the ball again and in so doing created a few half chances without troubling Nott in the Grange goal. The main talking point of the half came on 63 minutes when Leigh Craven and Nathan White went in for a 50 50 tackle but from the resulting melee Craven was shown a 2nd yellow and Borough where down to 10 men. Borough adapted well to playing with 10 men and continued to attack with Cory Williams and Corig McGonigle going close. The final goal arrived on 81 minutes when after good approach play by Tommy Creamer, a Cory Williams shot took a deflection off Creamer to wrong foot the keeper and roll into the back of the net.
An outstanding performance from Conwy who can know look forward to the Semi-Final draw.
