Manager's Viewpoint on Win Against Mochdre Sports FC

4 weeks ago By Conwy Admin

Following the win on Friday we caught up with Perry for his views on the game.

"It was a potential banana skin tonight for the players against a local side, we changed the team around to get minutes into lads coming back from injury and handed a first start to 17 year old local player Adam Buckley who I thought was outstanding. His work rate and decision making where excellent. To Mochdre's credit they came and had a go but I felt we deserved the win and had we been more clinical in the first half we should have had the game sawn up but two poor mistakes allowed them in and gave them the confidence to think they thought they could get a result. We have to start defending properley as the goals we are conceding are poor and this is something we need to improve on if we are to challenge for the League and Cup competitions.

Its another game in a cup and whilst it can be a distraction we now turn our attentions to next week’s rearranged League Game against CPD Penrhyndeudraeth at Y Morfa."
